Seals off the coast of Plymouth, MA

Yesterday was the picture perfect day. My friend Rose arranged a trip for our camera club to Ellisville State Park in Plymouth to see the seals. They like to sun themselves on the rocks during low tide there in the winter months. Thanks to the low tide, and warm weather yesterday we were able to get pretty close with out zoom lenses. We walked out as far as we could, and let the lenses do the rest! =) The one below I used a 70-300mm lens and added a 2x tele-converter to get even closer!
I love this shot. They were posing perfectly! I think they just come to the rocks to watch all the people on the shores myself!

Don't know how many seals there were on the beach yesterday, but I know there were no two that looked alike. It was amazing!!

This little one found a rock that was mostly submerged. How they get on and off the rocks is beyond me. They are covered in seaweed, which is really slippery! Not to mention that they have no arms or legs to boost them up there!

Not sure when, But I know I will be back there soon to see them again!
It was a picture perfect day! =)
