Recently I had the opportunity to babysit a friend's dog, his name is Cubby! I say "baby"sit instead of "dog"sit, is because nobody ever told Cubby he was a dog! When he sits in your lap, he either sits up with his paws in the air, or lies back as if you were going to rock him to sleep!! He is just TOO CUTE!! While I babysat Cubby, I kind of played "Where's Cubby" instead of "Where's Waldo"! I would take him places like the park, the beach, a light house and send pictures to his family by phone of facebook! Technology is great!!
Well, I got new software, and wanted to play with it and see what it does! I found out it turns pictures into paintings! COOL!! Or at least I thought it was, until the painting took away Cubby's cute expression! SO, I made it into a painting anyway, and then cloned Cubby's face and part of his body from the original photo onto the painting, and this is what I got! His Mother was thrilled with the results!! So was I!! Now I have a whole lot of other ideas going off on my next projects! But for now, here is CUBBY!!
Just so you can see the difference, below is kind of the original photograph. It is not the original, that had hair over one of his eyes, and I had to clone that out as well! =) But you can see how the painting/cloning made a cute picture into a high quality work of art that will soon be hanging in Cubby's family's livingroom!
I have been busy taking other photos which I will post soon. Right now I am getting ready to teach a Composition Class and Creative Photography Class at a two day seminar for the South Shore Camera Club. There will be a weekend full of photographers sharing their knowledge of what they know, and their art to photographers! It is going to be a fantastic time for everyone!! Every time you learn one simple new thing in photography, it can lead you into an entirely different area. It is never ending learning and creating, and that is what I love about it! You never get bored!!
Hope you enjoyed seeing my little house guest! I will be back soon to share new adventures! Till then, I hope my photos inspire you to go out and take photos too, and maybe someday we can take photos together!!
Take care! Keep those cameras clicking!
