You Don't Know Until You Go!

At least that is what my friend Larry always tells me! I REALLY didn't feel like going out and taking pictures yesterday, but once I got outside, and explored a new place, I am glad that I went. I got to see animals enjoying the Spring, even though it was cloudy and chilly out. Here are some of my favorites from my road trip to Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA... I hope you like them.
These are the baby owls watching all of the photographers making all those clicking noises and saying ooh and ahh every time they opened their eyes! =)

Same owls, different angle. This one just looks like a bigger owl, but it is the two of them.

They are kind of cute in an ugly sort of way! =)

Now this is CUTE! =)

This little one was going around knocking over dandelions then eating them from the bottom and saving the best for last! I just sat in the car and watched him eat. It was so CUTE!!!

Going, Going.....

Almost gone! I need one of these for my yard! =)

And they also have chipmunks galore there! So you know I will be back! =)

As far as photo tips go, it was a dark cloudy day, and I was using a telephoto lens, so any movement would cause a blur. I used my tripod for the owls but focusing was a problem. I had the door of the car to brace my other shots. I used 5.6 aperture, and don't know what the f/stop was. The ISO was at 1600. Which is much higher than I usually use, but with a cloudy day and a telephoto lens, 1600 ISO and a prayer was all I had to work with!! Not to mention Cute subjects that actually stood still for me! Without that, I would have got nothing!

Have a good day! Look for the rainbows after the rain!
