This peacock was amazingly beautiful, even without colors she caught every one's attention!
The sun just captured the feathers perfectly!
This was one chick who was not afraid to strut her stuff!! =)
About a month ago, I saw a photo like this and I wished to myself that I could get a photo like that, and the wish came true! It is not so much the photo, but the memories behind it that mean so much! Just seeing this bird within a few feet was amazing!!
No matter which way she turned, it was just another perfect angle!
Even this turkey was impressed by her beauty and wanted too strut his stuff too!
I call this one Beauty and the Beast! I also got some close ups of the turkey, but he was UGLY!!
I shot these photos with an ISO of 200, I used exposure compensation to over expose it by a third, because the white in the bright sun was trying to under expose the photo. Luckily they were there for quite a while so I could make the proper adjustments! It was a perfect day at the Southwick Zoo! These birds live there, but they are not Zoo Animals! They are wild and roam free throughout the zoo! It is amazing!!
Hope you enjoyed the photos! I have some new ones of the Scituate Lighthouse and the Full Moon, and I will be sharing them soon. If I don't get sleep soon, I will be looking more like the turkey than the peacock!!
Take care!
