Pink Rose Petals...

Macro photography can be so challenging, yet so rewarding. You are so close to your subject, there is little depth of field. Focusing is critical, because of all the layers in the petals of the rose, everything is on a different focusing plane. You really have to decide which is the most important focal point, and try to focus on that while not making other parts of your photo extremely out of focus! The best advice, is practice, and if you are not sure how to photograph it, with digital, try anyway you can think of. That is where your unique creativity will shine through!

This shot was taken on my diningroom table with the sun coming in at an angle through the glass sliding door! I put a white trash bag on the door so that the light wouldn't be too harsh. The results worked! I hope you like it!
