A New England Autumn Sunrise...

This was the only sun I saw all day, and it made getting up before dawn well worth it! Got to share this sight with three friends this morning, it was beautiful!

Fall and Spring are such beautiful times of the year, and they pass so quickly! Enjoy every minute you can...

"Hand of Man?" I think NOT! "Hand of Woman", ABSOLUTELY YES!! I picked this leaf up and placed it on the tree to capture a photo I had in mind. Sometimes nature just needs a little help to make a creative photograph! Love how the shades in the trees in the background mimic the shades in the leaf! I had nothing to do with that! =)

Who knew Milton has such a beautiful red barn! I metered off the roof of the barn for the exposure and purposely put the trees in the foreground as a silhouette. Frames the scene perfectly!

Whenever I see color, you know I have to try at least one zoom shot! This is done with a slow shutter speed and a tripod. Zoom the lens while the exposure is being made. Then crop the photo afterwards, if you want to get the star burst out of the center of the photo. Unless you like the burst in the center of the photo. I prefer it on a third of the photo for my photographs. But what makes it art is to shoot is as you envision it, not how someone else does! Learn the rules of photography, forget the rules, and shoot from the heart, and you won't go wrong! Pictures may not always come out like you want, but that is how you learn, and if you are learning you can't go wrong with that!
