I went for a walk in the park the other night around sunset time. I was looking for the perfect New England foliage photo! I was shocked and pleased with what I saw! The sun was coming out from behind a cloud, and lit up only two leaves and some berries and instantly caught my eye! The simplest thing that you see everyday stood out like a piece of art, all lit up, just for me to see! I was lucky enough to capture it! It was not the fall shot I was looking for, but I am glad I found it just the same! Gallen Rowell said "Always look for the magical light and see what is in that light that can be photographed." The results are amazing! So always look for the magical light! It makes all the difference in the world when it comes to photography! I spot metered on the brightly lit leaf, and the background which was dark green turned black, and the other greens all fell into place! Funny how the only two leaves that were lit by the sun had their backs to me, and all of the others on the whole tree showed the front, making the contrast even greater! "AMAZING!"
